YUGOPUNK HAS A STEAM PAGE

The game is still in development, so it’s not an announcement of a release date just yet. But the Steam page is live, and you can wishlist our game right now. It means Early Access is the next destination, not a distant idea.

Getting here took a few years and a different starting point than most studios. We began by creating assets for other developers on the Unity Asset Store, but over time, we kept coming back to the same idea: we wanted to build our own world.

WHAT IS YUGOPUNK

Yugopunk is a co-op survival game set in a Yugoslavia-inspired open world, built by a small Slovenian team. You play as a retired mercenary arriving in a country that collapsed after a chemical disaster in 1987. You scavenge, build, farm, fight through dungeons, and piece together what went wrong. Band together with up to 10 players to survive.

The setting is not random. The setting chose itself. We are from Slovenia, and we grew up listening to our parents talk about Yugoslavia. The food, the cars, the architecture, the particular feeling of that era. It was close, familiar, and almost completely absent from games. That gap felt worth filling.

Yugoslavia had a specific look, a specific tension, and a history that most games have never touched. The architecture, the vehicles, the decay, all of it is grounded in that particular time and place.

The core is in place: an explorable open world, base building with a working electricity system, farming and crafting tied directly to exploration, Yugoslav-era vehicles, and playable dungeons. Every asset was built from scratch by our team.

WHAT COMES NEXT

Before Early Access opens, we are still building. More dungeon types, expanded crafting, deeper NPC systems, and more content across the open world. We regularly publish devlogs that cover exactly what has changed, what we are working on, and where we ran into problems.

We do not have a release date. What we do have is a clear direction and a working game that keeps improving every month.
